Fleas live outside in grass and leaves, but at the slightest sensation or touch of a mammal’s presence, they jump onto their victim and stay there.  Fleas can jump onto shoes, socks and clothing, as well as into the fur of your pets.  Flea eggs tend to drop off to land in your carpet or furniture.  You, yourself, may unwittingly bring fleas into your home by carrying them from any place that has a flea infestation problem.  Once attached to their food source, fleas will stay there until they are scratched off, die of old age or are removed in some other way.  Fleas can live in almost any environment except full sun or extreme cold.

• Home Vacuuming Regimen:  Once the treatment has been fully completed, the homeowner needs to maintain a regular daily vacuuming schedule to ensure all fleas are removed from the home.
