This customer said she and her family were seeing up to 60 spiders a day. During wet springs, we get a lot of calls for this type problem because babies are hatching. We have equipment in our truck that we use spray the perimeter of a home. We spray around the roofline where they like to hide and enter into a home, and we also spray around the foundation and shrubbery. We will try the exterior and attic first, but if that doesn’t work we will need to spray inside as well.
If an inside spraying is necessary, we will use the Hollow Point insecticide that was mentioned earlier. It is a peppermint oil- and silica-based product that reduces bug populations not only on contact, but after treatment as well. We usually recommend that people leave the area for about four hours or so if fumigation is needed. Once you return, your home will be completely safe for everyone in the family, including your cats, dogs or other pets.
